Teen Dieting
When you are a teenager, you may want
to have a slim and beautiful body, with no
fat in evidence anywhere. This is perhaps
the dream of every average teenager today,
and everywhere you look, there are
advertisements for this or that diet,
which would help you, lose this many or
that many pounds.

How do you, as a teenager,
figure out what is healthy and what is
definitely not?
How can you, as a teenager fight the
pressure to lose weight, and remain
healthy and fit?
Remember this important fact: if you
really and truly need to lose weight, then
you must sit up, take a hard look at your
eating habits, find out what, if anything
is wrong with it, and also start up an
exercise regimen, immediately. This will
help you lose your unwanted weight
successfully.
In general, people diet for a large
number of reasons. While some may prefer
to diet so that they can take part in
competitive sports, some others may diet
because they want to look a certain way,
or simply because they feel that this is
the thing to do.
Any diet that does not allow fats or
which places severe restrictions on your
daily calorie intake is to be considered
bad for you, because a teenager must have
about an average of 30 % of fat in his or
her daily calorie intake.
In the same way, any diet that
restricts a certain food group must not be
followed, because you may end up not
getting the essential vitamins and
minerals that you do need to grow up
healthy and fit.
