Dieting Plateau
What exactly is a dieting plateau?
Sounds ominous, doesn't it?
The phenomenon can strike a dieter at
any time and at any place. What it refers
to is this: when a person like you feels
that he or she is overweight, and needs to
shed some of the weight, then he or she
would most probably embark on an uphill
journey of dieting. Gradually, the dieter
will start to experience a weight loss,
over a period of time.

The amount of time, and the rate of
loss will be different for different
people, depending on your rate of
metabolism, your weight at the present
time, and of course, your genes.
As you start to feel a noticeable
difference in your weight, hey presto,
there will appear the evil dieting plateau
demon. What happens is that you will stop
losing weight despite your best efforts,
and you will have reached a plateau. It is
at this time that you may get tired and
weary, and feel completely de-motivated,
so much so that you may eventually give up
all your dieting plans. This is the point
that most seasoned dieters come to fear,
and if you make up your mind not to give
up, and get past it, then you could most
possibly lose more weight.
