EXERCISE

Normally exercise is part of our daily living - for a woman, in the past, it may have been hand washing all the family's clothes, but today we can sit down and wait whilst the automatic washing machine does that work for us - i.e. the machine is getting the exercise! The machine gets fit, we do not!

Consequently it is vital we replace that lost exercise with another form of exercise and today we are lucky that there are so many facilities available to us, such as a gym club or a weight loss club. But we do not have to attend these - simple exercises in the privacy of your home will have exactly the same effect.

Walk around the block briskly (or simply around your home), jogging on the spot on the back lawn, movement exercises to music in the living room - all of these are simple to do and cost nothing except a few minutes of time.

So you need to re-train your body - "yes, I will eat that chocolate bar but not until I have walked around the block and then had 2 glasses of iced water"!
