FITNESS
Diet fitness is about combining a
sensible diet with an exercise- fitness
program and includes a consideration of
many aspects, including:
- Balance : the diet you choose must
be balanced, that is it must contain
carbohydrates, proteins, fats,
vitamins, mineral salts and fiber in
proportional quantities. Carbohydrates
are the main source of energy for the
body so these play an important role in
any balanced diet. A low carb content
diet will resujlt in a lack of energy.
You must include all foods from fruit
and vegetables, meats and grains.
- Moderation : this is the difficult
part of a ll diets - the portion
control! Eat a small quantity at
regular intervals - downsize your
portions, just a little at first then
gradually over weeks continue to
downsize and you will find you will be
satisifed with a lot less!
Variation : include a wide variety of
foods in your diet giving you greater
chance of your diet having complete
nutrition. Variety in your exercise
routine means a greater chance you will
continue with it; for example, one day
talk a brisk walk and another day do some
exercises to music in your own living
room. Vary your program!
A poor diet leads to diseases, and
these diseases include obesity, cancer and
heart disease. It is a well established
link between diet and fitness / health and
so you must consider the questions
- How do you balance diet and
fitness, and
- What changes in your diet and
fitness programs will be the ones with
most benefit for you?

We all want the perfect diet and
fitness plan. But do not delay whilst you
